The snake has been a popular jewelry motif since Ancient Times. However, during the reign of Queen Victoria it gained tremendous popularity. This late Victorian diamond and emerald snake bracelet is particularly endearing with an articulated tongue and during this Year of the Serpent snake jewelry is ever popular.
